Anybody know if she has the authority to order out of state residents to stay out of her state? If the order does not extend to out of state, you can bet as the weather warms, the NE Illinois people with property will be coming your way. IF that is true, how are the residents of Michigan going to react when they can't go to their vacation home, but their vacation home neighbor from Chicago can. It won't be pretty. Luckily mid and southern IL residents tend to favor vacation homes on LOTO. I don't see Missouri ever getting as extreme in this whole thing as Michigan has.
Northern Michigan ( above the thumb) is populated with seasonal homeowners from many places. Nearby they drive from Ill, Ind., Ohio and lower Michigan. From May to October there are daily/bi weekly flights to Traverse City from New York, Charlotte, Denver, Dallas, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit and others. They arrive get a rental car and go to the Costco next door and than head to their cottage or condo. In July the National Cheery Fest draws a half million over a week. Obviously all this movement later once it warms but there is enough movement now to easily overload the few hospitals here. Further south the Lake Michigan and Huron shoreline and inland lakes also host many seasonal visitors but are closer to larger medical centers.

No doubt some have.

But here in New York we have Hospitals sending Docs and staff home due to lack of patients and chit to do. How dare you die of natural causes during this pandemic; have you no respect?

There is a new lawsuit: https://www.detroitnews.com/story/ne...on/2990561001/ And also a protest in Lansing tomorrow. Most aren't questioning the social distancing thing. Michigan's governor has gone way too far though. It's cold here now but when the weather gets nice all hell might break out here if things don't change.

I have a friend (ER NP) that flew out to NY to help on the front lines of this pandemic because there is nothing going on at the West Michigan hospitals. I think 1/2 the staff is laid off because there are no elective treatments going on. I believe she is at the Billie Jean National tennis Center. Just checking people and testing people.

Hope this BI+CH screws herself over, wrecks her own political career, and is never heard of again.

These type events crack me up. One dimwit decided his confederate flag was obviously important. Another decided it was necessary to carry his rifle. Fine examples of free expression, manhood and stupidity.

The high point for me was the 62 year old business owner that claimed to have had a heart attack and bypass surgery proclaiming that he could responsibly run his business without any oversight--while giving the interview with both the subject and reporter wearing no PPE??
