I don't car who you are..... There are procedures all Performance Boaters must do: DO NOT DRIVE AFTER DRINKING! I seriously do not care who you are, if you are BWI, You should go to jail forever.... If you want to know why I feel that way, let me know and I will send you the addresses of the parents and the story behind the 6 kids that were killed by a drunk driver. The second is wearing your lanyard while under way. IT IS NOT THAT TOUGH!
A close 3rd is wearing your Lifejacket. Buy a Lifeline and wear it, after the first few times out it becomes second nature and you feel funny without it.
That way, "driving" your boat hard is still risky, that is why we own offshore boats, but at least if something goes wrong, the safety measures will kick in.

Starts with my dad was out of town and his Raptor was in the driveway...........followed by my idols growing up where the Dukes of Hazard.......so I was out at the dirt roads and Captain Morgan was telling me I could jump that berm since after all it is a Raptor...........so the launch was great, the landing was just a bit rough.

I agree it is a fine line. Also a fine line even if the talent is there, as boat wakes can be very difficult to read. My point was we all love monster wake jumps, until an accident happens. Then people jump all over the operator.
