This is the democrat party.

Problem is that although the majority of Americans are fed up with the Progressive agenda, they are also fed up with Trump and his antics. Trump is probably the only Republican candidate that the Dems could beat in 2024, but despite the fact that he tried to get his VP to overturn the election on Jan 6th, if the primaries were held today he’d probably win the nomination- then lose in the election - like he did last time to a geriatric with half a functioning brain. Gwad I hope Trump doesn’t run and Desantis does.

A lot has transpired since he lost to the geriatric fool in a made for democrats mail in election.
Unless something drastic derails Trump, DeSantis won’t run this time. IMO those are the only two republicans that can take the heat that a conservative inevitably will face from the establishment.
The democrats have the artificial luxury of never having to face real heat from the press, and their path is paved by big tech, entrenched bureaucracy, woke corporations etc.

I see it differently, to me the GOP could put just about anyone up and win (Maybe not Trump IDK).

The reasons:

Biden will not run again way past his time.
Who else, Kamala Harris? The middle will not vote for her no way,,,,,,,, hopefully anyway..
Pete, nope we as a country will NOT elect a openly gay person.
Who else?

To win you do not need hard core Dems or GOP members, lets face it they are voting party line no matter what. You need the ones closer to the center. At least that is what I think not much I can really do but watch what happens.

BTW

If Trump does run, he will be the same age as Biden was this last time.

Are ratings and truth always mutually exclusive?
If you care to, check out UK’s Nigel Farage’s speeches on this matter over the last several years.
Remarkably similar take aways.

Yes but I’m not saying other republicans can’t win. I’m questioning their ability push their agenda to the extent needed.

I agree, like him or not trump exposed the seedy underbelly and the corruption in DC, many of my clients are high level gov employees and although trump is no saint, everything he has said they did has come true. I believe the election was rigged, there is no way biden garnered that many votes, trump won every southern state except GA, and the counts were way off. that being said there is a new crop of people running, Marjorie Taylor green, Madison cawthorn (who introduced term limits) that speak out against the corruption of DC. When you look in the terms of history, Jefferson would be kicked out for sleeping with his slaves by today's standard. there needs to be a cleansing in DC. desantis will wait until he doesnt have to run against trump, he may or may not do a VP run to increase his exposure. but when you look at all the dem establishment not running for reelection, that to me is very telling... im a fiscal conservative and morally liberal. i dont care what people do with their lives, loves and sexuality... just stop trying to make me pay for it.

That I get but we need to get out of this my way or the highway. 350 million people in this country, we are never going to get our way all the time. That is sinking us while other countries have us as a target.

I have been lucky enough to have worked and traveled in 48 of the 50 states, multiple countries and work with people from all over the world. One thing I have learned is to keep a open mind and understand just because some has a different idea doesn't always mean it is right or wrong, sometimes just different. Take the best of everyone's idea and move on it, adjust as needed.

I’m having trouble recalling a recent idea from the left that isn’t destructive to the well being of the country. Maybe I don’t get out enough.

Regarding the price of energy, Putin is trying to skirt sanctions and stick it to the dollar at the same time. He's forcing the EU to deal with his banks and pay for their energy in Rubles - if they don't agree, the EU is going to have massive energy shortages. That can't be good for the already stretched supply chains.
