one of my best friends lives in Tampa with his family...they loaded up ther 5th wheel camper and headed over to boca raton to ride it out.....i was thinking they would make a weekend out of it and head up camping to GA but he said why when the storms tracking north...he's like i'd rather stay in the state on the south end and have one day of crap then have sun instead off days worth or crappy weather heading up north.

A Buddy sent me a video from his house in Fort Meyers, Multiple screens blown out, the noise is unbelievable, said he thinks the whole cage is coming down. I was watching the web cam of the lock just down from him and the water was just rushing in, then camera went out.

EDIT:
His cage just came down. Hope the roof stays on.

Yup, lots of family in friends in that area including fmb. Most, that i know of, other than 1, are not there for the stormBeen watching webcams and they all went out about 1/2 hr ago.

I pray for everyone here, those we know, and those we don’t….for the best of possible outcomes. Peace.

edit in: lots (tons ?) members here in cape coral too. God bless. :thumb

Fort Myers beach is toast. Water is currently up to the 2nd floor of the Lani Kai and the real surge hasn’t even begun.

Blowing like snot yet in Naples, I’m praying this thing goes north of Engle Wood and breaks up before it crosses Florida.

My conestoga semi trailer is in the middle of a field in Arcadia facing east , South will kill me.

I dont know why people stay. One of my best friends lives in Port Charlotte on the water NOW. Whenever we get storms on the east side I just leave and go have a vacation somewhere fun.

There is no reason to fk with storms this big. There is nothing you can do to save anything, so why bother...
