Talked with Jason, yesterday. The old engine has been torn down and inspected. All looks good for the rebuild. Cylinders had some water damage due to inversion and was likely making the blowby worse. Will need at least tails and maybe new exhaust manifold. Sent a check to get things rolling. Going to rebore to 540 new aluminum heads new induction and ignition system. Now, I can't wait for spring to get here.

I ran the same cr with a 305 as cast AFR.........4.500 x 6.385 made good power through a 500 EFI plenum...625.you should be above that with better intake and fuel distribution

Heard from Jason. My old CMI headers will not accept tail pipes and CMI cannot modify for tail pipes. He is suggesting a CMI E top system or a IMCO Power Flow with long riser pipe. Both will solve the reversion issue he is seeing. The CMIs are definitely prettier. I also worry about if the IMCOs will make it more difficult when changing spark plugs, I am not too limber, at my age.

Any thoughts or pros and cons are welcome.
