And today, the Raymarine Victory cat looked great in Key West; I would love to have that set-up in their pleasure version. A badass boat. I do realize that this boat is not 39’ to 42’ long per the thread. |

Trust me there is nothing meh about a DCB. It is the best fit and finish overall of any boat I've seen without question. 11 out of 10. Lots of convenience features that add up to the price. They aren't slow either.
MTI...fast, good in lots of different water, big $$...I think everyone that has one is happy with them. Joe |

You will love your new 36. I am in watching the paint guys along with Greg and his rigging crew almost daily. I usually end up seeing test results a few minutes after the boats come back in from their initial shakedown runs. They don't really want top speed numbers published but I can tell you that these last few 360 are real weapons. You get a 36 pulling 38s out of the box, you are onto something that most don't have. As Myrick says "these things will give supercats a fight in smooth conditions".
Joe I have my Motec setup sitting here, my open exhaust (that's the only thing that got me onto outboards) and I'm excited to take delivery. I've been tuning Motec for 20 years. I'm going to take it easy but I'm excited. PBC has been great. |

Hi Joe. I ordered it for that exact reason...because it is a weapon. I've been watching you guys at the Shootout for years...sitting in the tie up. I was with one of my best friends on his first ride with Myrick when we picked up his 360 and we went fast with 6 people and stock 450s. Running the few poker runs that we do the past 2 years the boat was always fast and would generate questions from people asking if the 450s were hopped up...they weren't at that time. We showed up to shootout this year with them turned up a little and went 144 to win the class. That boat was on 91 octane and 36s. That next morning we ran to Camden and had a full boat ripping to 138 and it was not smooth out there...a bit sporty. Obviously not OEM 450 power but I felt safe in the boat. I text Cyler that morning to order the boat.

The performance 36 hull is absolutely amazing. They are running 140 on stock 500’s which is crazy.

All above boats are amazing.
Different buying and ownership experiences as with anything. Rumors & gossip seem to float and/or sink boats. People have different preferences, priorities, utilization, resources, abilities etc. New design and innovations and constant evolutions are what I’ve seen, and that is a good thing for all of us! |
I am pretty excited for the future. My 42' running surface is being straightened and modified "done by Jan. 1st I am told". The future power of outboards is going to break some hearts. There are two outboard cats running in the 160 range right now and there will be many to follow. We ran a 139 pass at the shootout this year (motec) and when we downloaded the data, it was there for the last twelve seconds of the run. We had a nitrous malfunction (bottle had bled off-we had no N2O on our pass), I didn't realize it until we had already raised the limiter and added a bigger shot for a 2nd pass. We changed the bottle and sent it out but the rods didn't agree with our aggressive ramp in. The boat was set up to make a 155 pass. I am headed to VA. with a few powerheads tomorrow-hopefully we won't have to deal with the same result again next year.
Justin's 39' has seen 153 and ran 147 on just MoTec in the shootout. This stuff is very real....I truly hope people respect the power that they will have on tap in these light weight boats. Joe |

Joe Rode in a 368 Skater with old six cyliner 400s & it was not too impressive for acceleration & top speed. Times have changed. I know Skater will never be the fastest on top end all out #s especially with outboards. I would love to see an unbiased report of how all of these boats do in real world conditions with the exact same power. |

I rode in a bunch and the most valuable thing I did was talk to owners about their wait times, buying process, and pain points. Its stuff I'd talk about on the dock.
