Thanks Chris,,, saw in P.B. this month that Ducky's has a 26 and a 28 left over for what seems like a really good price,, just dont know enough about these boats to have an opinion, but I would think they are in the ball park w/ checkmate... and not too far off the mark from Baja,, were just looking for the next notch up, if you know what I mean.. Pantera, sunsation, thunder, maybe formula,

What are your plans ??? 28 32 thunder ?? seems we all have the bigger boat bug...

Your thunder is rock solid and I have to believe the 28 is even better, but I priced one out and near choked..

I would think with some work on the prop, the Sunsation will do 70~72 pretty consistantly. Doesn't reckless have a stok prop?

My 288 did 69.4 GPS but I have a 502 and added Lightning headers. 68 all day long. I will see what it does after I play with the prop.

When Im ready Pat and Thunderdan will be the second to know.
I love my 25/single. We had a blast up in LG over Columbus day weekend. It is a pleasure to move/tow and Im extremely happy with its performance. It fits my needs quite well.
Good luck with the search.

The Sunsation gets boring at 69...trust me. Not a hint of chine walk.

I know for a fact that the Sunsation speeds are dead GPS speeds. Real life. I can't really comment on the others.

My 02' 288 w/496HO and stock prop ran a best of 69.2GPS and would run 67-68 everyday.

I would add Nordic to that list also. The 28 is a very stable hull and loves speed.

Nordic Gary, I think that 80 with 525 is a bit optimistic.

Thumbs down

My name was not even mentioned and we can run real close to 80 mph with a 500 efi. Heck I had to add 500 lbs of sand to be legal for APBA F1 and still almost touched the 80 mark! BH

Brian's (Joker) boat deserves a good look. It will be one of the front runners when I purchase my next boat.
