When the locals ask you why you moved down, tell someone has to run the place....
BWHAHAHAHA! Ain't that the truth!!!!!
I'm a transplant here in GA also, been here for 14 years. You'll get a kick watching the panic when/if a couple snow flakes fall!
I did some asking around this past fall about a nice lake to go boat ridin on while the weather is still nice and everyone I asked said Lanier. We definitely plan to head up there this spring. We are right next to Lake Oconee....BLAH! Thats all I got to say about that lake!
Welcome to GA cig!!!!!

mikeV, your wife has a nice web site..my wife and I have just started looking for a new, larger home in the area as well so thanks for the tip...we'll be in touch with your wife in the near future.
We were looking at building...but maybe we will find something on the lake instead. Traffic not an issue with us as we both work from home.

cig, buddy...I gotta tell ya this...the south end is the trailer park area...come up on the north end of the lake where you don't have Gwinnett County crapping on ya. The south side has all(most) of the retards on new sailboats that can't sail, sober or not, too.

As you can see we all love Lake Lanier. I am partial to Gainesville beause it is my hometown. Get the map out and we are on the North End of Lake Lanier. If you are working in Norcross it may be better for you to look on the South Side but trust me (The Joker Don't Lie) you will pay dearly for a nice place on the lake down there. I'm not going to post the price I paid for my place but I looked for (5) years and I did good. Now my OSO Brothers have a place to come visit. Call me anytime 770-540-3772. Brian Hollis
