I don't own a Fountain because that is not my preference for boating but I think Reggie is doing a great job creating boats his buyers want for an amount more than 18 people a year can actually afford. As far as build quality, everyone has their favorites Donzi, Nor-tech, Formula and Cigarette all seem to come to mind in addition to these two. Back to the thread. 177 MPH is incredible is any boat and truly amazing in a V bottom. Its too bad OL didn't run, if they truly broke that is one thing but if they left as a business decision (i.e. they knew they couldn't win so they left) that is just poor sportsmanship. If you lose this one suck it up and go at them the next time.

Fountain provides a very nice boat for a reasonable price. I will never own a new OL or a new cig but I may own a new Fountain. I know what I am getting for my money.Its a known quality....no surprises (for the most part)
I think Dollar for Dollar Fountain provides a great boat. If I feel I want or need a better boat I can always step up. Fountain provides a fast boat I can afford.....well almost

I just think Fountain owners deserve more thats all. You guys pay alot for your boats, and that gives you the right to some originality.

I wouldn't go bragging about the fit, finish and overall quality of an O.L. There was a thread not so log ago where they were ripped a new one about the quality of the boats they had at SEVERAL boat shows over the winter. They are certainly not the end all be all.. dollar for dollar I would take a lot of other boats over an o.l. and pocket the left over 300 plus thousand dollars..

I own a Fountain and agree with the above. The QA and Customer service is not nearly what it should be.....
