You can weld the inside dump shut and drill an external one. I wouldn't unless I wanted louder exhaust. This far back in the exhaust I wouldn't worry about reversion. I've never had an issue. You should kill 15-20 dbs with water running in the mufflers. And they will not discolor.

I installed them Saturday and ran the boat on the hose.

It was much quieter then I expected, but still sounded good. Kind of took the edge off.

I did remove the rubber flappers. I bet it is very quiet with them on.

Does your water dump inside or outside the tailpipes?

My CMI tailpipes dumped the water right at the end of the pipe. Now it mixes inside the mufflers.

OK, thats why there so quite. The water cuts 5-10 more dbs off. I dropped over 20dbs with water in the mufflers. I'll bet your well under 90db now.

The water realy helps quite them down. We've tried running GGB's on Stellings both wet and dry and they are amazingly quite with just a little water entering and no flappers.

I'm thinking about getting these mufflers, how do they work? Will they work on naturally aspirated 700hp motors?

They work great. The only time I've seen a problem was on 1500HP Blower motors.

zt260, what was the deal on those blower motors? I heard about that problem and it got us worried becuase we put a few on 1500hp mills too. We never saw a problem and believe me, with those mills I was concerned!

The 700hp n/a motors will work just fine. We've noticed the low end picks up a bit on the bigger hp n/a motors and GGB's.

Can you elaborate on this? I have 510 c.i. 645 h.p. Sterlings. Are you suggesting I will see improvement in low-end torque with the GGB's installed?
