By th looks of the metal on on your cam where it's broke. It looks like it's been cracks for a while. It looks dark thru most of it then light. .if the piston are all moving when you turn it over by hand then the rods are still connected

What!! Holy CRAP. Ok rear cam plug got pushed out then piece made it's way between flywheel and fell into bellhousing. Might have a broken block at rear. At very least flywhl damage. And crank flange too. Maybe your one lucky dude. Your going to find out when you pull ot out

Better pull it out first see of there is any major damage. Might be easier to order short blocks . I betting that piece did damage when it exited the block. If you sty5with flat tappet cam. Have someone run that engine before it's reinstalled. Sometimes the cams don't work harder properly and it destroys lifters, cam, also puts metal thru the engine. I always use roller cams

Camshaft was broked long time ago.. I agree with U. Maybe factory defect. Never now. Hopefully block is good. Cant find hole at thia time. Is it buy / sell department on this forum?
Lifters close to the broken side were loose or out from the housing.
