Just an update - charged batts up & fixed alternator. Took boat out this morning and all was good, no oil leaks, alternator was working, oil pressure was back. Boat ran awesome, didn't do any WOT runs- just cruised around 50mph with a few burst up to 70mph.

Thanks for the replays - now I need a goes boat detailed in the DFW ARE who can get my boat gel back, starting to fade a bit!

Congratulations. It is always a mixture of nerves then relief the first trip out after having a bunch of issues with the boat. Hope the rest of the boating season goes smooth for you.

Thank you sir and the same to you ! Was a huge relief for sure, I'm by no means a mechanic so when I can fix little issues it's a win and more fuel money for the boat and not to a shop !

Rick That's true but on the other side of the coin sometimes alot of good repair shops saves the boat owner money as they fix small problems before they become big expensive problems and also a lot of times good boat repair shops fix self inflicted wounds from boat owners attempted repair work. It works both ways. Had to throw the other side of the coin out there because both sides hold water.

Heck I was just saying. not to gain your business but if you need anything I am in Arlington and still currently have customers on Lake Lewisville that bring me their boats. Sometimes I am up there as well on a mobile service call. I would be willing to come up some day to catch a ride and can look at things as well for free. No biggy. just need the invite.
