Use those oil absorber sheets to clean up your motor and bilge area. I use the 3 M brand and we call them diapers in the industry. Pig Mat makes them and so does another player called Oil Dri plus they have other products for oil spills. Check it out.. .

Exactly what I used and my oil extractor. Seemed like a lot of water too, as I was pumping it out it was mostly clear - then the sludge came - didn't seem like 7qts though !!

2 quarts low will show nothing on the stick. Are you sure you lost 7 quarts? You would not have steady oil pressure if that was the case.

After cleaning bilge I don't think I lost all 7 - I'm going to fix the gauge then start adding oil tomorrow - picked up a easy out kit today, need flex tube and hardware - not sure where to get them - Oriellys didn't seen to have anything !

Get the old piece out and just plug the hole for now with a pipe plug, then go boating and order the fitting and line you need.

Got the piece out - what size pipe plug would that be, and where can I order the fittings I need or can I get from Orileys ?

Thanks for the response !

I'm guessing it's a 9/16 fine thread to put a pipe plug in it till I can order what I need, Orileys doesn't carry that type of plug - Any ideas who I can order the mechanical gauge accessories ?

Google and or ebay oil pressure testing gauge and I know harbor Freight has a complete deluxe kit as I bought one for the adaptors & fittings then gave the gauge away.

Most oil and water tapped holes on motor are NPT. 1/8"NPT, 1/4"npt, 3/8" npt, and 1/2" NPT are the most commonly used.
