My motor (single) is coming out in December. I'm anticipating $1K to R&R. My hatch is the wildcard as it is all glass and doubles as the rear seating and walkthrough so it is heavy and unbalanced.

Anyone on here build there own gantry for engine pulling, I remember seeing a wooden one but I'd prefer steel when the time comes, actually like to pull it just to check everything outand cean up bilge.

I bought a Wallace aluminum adjustable and portable gantry off craigslist for $800, best money I've spent, makes taking boats on and off trailers a breeze, and pulling engines at will at home.

Just over 8' some boats whould fit?

Most 8' boats aren't 8' behind the front bolsters.

Thanks all the harbor freight looks maybe doable, anyone built their own? Being a part time farmer I make anything I can. :helmet:

Had a buddy come by and throw up a 20' metal beam cause I almost lost a nut trying it do myself.
Having a engine pulling party this weekend whos coming over? http://33outlaw.zenfolio.com/img/s3/...33078459-3.jpg I pull a roof panel to use it http://33outlaw.zenfolio.com/img/s6/...28315187-3.jpg |
Have several folks build A-frames and then pull the boat out from under. Being a farmer, hook up a jen pole to the tractor 3-point hitch or use a backhoe
