Default what transom work is needed to convert TRS to SSMIII drives?

Looking at converting from TRS to SSMIII, what EXACTLY needs done besides having the proper parts? especially the transom...

I believe you will have to open up the hole a bit where the driveshaft goes thru. Then plug the old mounting holes up, and drill new mounting holes for the ssm transom. Swap tailstocks on your tranny's to the SSM tailstocks, add the SSM style mounting ears to your trannys too. Then remove your angle brackets off the stringers, plug those holes up. Once transom assemblies mounted in place, hang engine in place, install rear bolts thru ears, slide alignment bar in place to align engines, then drill new holes in stringer for the angle brackets.

Sweet thx Joe, as you know we are already talking about this, hope I can make it happen maybe, I plan to use transmissions from doner boat if they are better then what I have, we will see if deal happens... If not they pop up at times one day, now to find a #4 doner lol

I guess re doing transom completely is my biggest question, seems I don't have to completely anyway...

I checked on this, and it was about 6k just for the transom work, this was a complete fill and recut and paint, it adds up quick

Saw those that's a great deal, I plan to buy a whole boat so I get everything I need, then sell the rest and have free conversion... We will see..

Translation... Facebook Powerboat Swap Shop has a ton of great deals and you are missing out if you don't have it. lol
I'm not a FB fan either. It's just a reality we live in today.
Everything you need to do a # III conversion with transom assy's, tranny's and fresh drives $11,000.
