I can see the moving forward but can you imagine if they didn't check out??? Two things off the top of my head would be others would be pulling cams regardless because of serious potential problems and the other is all the more ammunition you have to go after Bob with some kind of settlement. Kinda like buying a 4340 forged steel Callie's crank and come to find out its 5140. Now on the other hand your lower grade 4340 forged cranks aren't always as advertised. Valako and I had a talk about this just a couple weeks ago.

Motors
605 inch blower motors with brodix bb3 xtraO heads.

Cam
254/262 at 50 duration 705/680 lift

The cam doctors numbers were farther off than what I would have expected. Cam doctor showed the cam to be larger by a few degrees at 50.

So basically the custom cam you purchased underperformed and was unreliable.

How was Bob's customer service?

Would you do business with Marine Kinetics again?

If it was me I`d take those heads to my guy at High Flow heads. Mike has 30 years of experience , meticulous, and doesn`t do anything but heads. Checks everything.
Who is this bill guy that`s your new hero?

If i were Tim, I would be sending the cam out for a hardness check .

It's been suggested that there is an issue with the cores or the hardening or the machine that grinds them. Not 1 person has ever sent a cam to Cam Motion and asked their opinion on what if anything is wrong? No one has ever called them and asked what they thought of a given profile? Email would actually be best so it's in writing with someone's name attached.

No new hero, did all my ford stuff with him... Lost touch for a while, didn't know he was doing his own thing until after I was into this project... Hes done many successful builds with boats also... He's never let me or anyone down so he's in charge now.

If anything didn't check out it seems like that would be on Cam Motion since they do all the machining, hardening etc. What's the industry standard for hardening that you would be comparing them to?
