Kevin We are on track, if bobs telling people behind the scenes it's my fault still then that's a huge issue for a vendor to say, especially about a customer when hat customer and others have HARD CORE PROOF, that the vendor is wrong.

ARB, asking cam motion about a future failure, and asking them to inspect what has failed, is two separate conversations.
Also , you are not running a 680 lift 241 cam . I honestly hope for all the guys sake running bobs cams, they last 500 hours. Tim, ans many others, got the same speech you prob did today from both parties. Unfortunately, the conversation expectations and the real world results, did not coincide. At the end of the day, its your money. How you roll the dice is up to you. I know i roll the dice on things with my engines , every time i go boating. Thats the hobby. All we can do is try to perform due diligence, and interpret it how we want to. If you believe bobs cams are good to go, run them, if not pull them. It ceetsinly not worth losing sleep over. This stuff is supposed to be fun remember lol |
fbc25el has over 300hrs on his.
On the custom cam thread: http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/g...-thread-4.html Thanks MT for pointing out I previously used someone else's name by mistake. |
Tim most of us are on track just Bob's being his normal "puppet master" behind the scenes....look where that got Orlandi.....not fair.

Still no email back from Bob...

SB , whats your take on a 540 build with 9:1 , getting a 239/246 cam with stock GM merc rectangles, and a 10:1, 540 , with afrs getting a 241/246 cam? Two entirely differrnt combos , with a 2 degree change in intake duration. |

All open chamber BBC's will respond to more lift. However, obviously there is a trade off with reliability with the more you lift it. So, this really depends on how I feel, and how I really thing the person feels (this can be extremely tough at times - you sometimes have to know them better than they do.LOL) Case in point. Say a Crane with their .600" ormore lift. Most are okay to say 250-400hrs. A person may say that is totally fine with them, yet it isn't. I know people for decades that beatch about their interior and wood floors rotting out so fast, so each year I tell them about not just covering their boat but also making sure their covers are waterproofed. Well, guess what, most don't listen. I see them tied to the dock, day after day, with no cover on them. All season ! Imagine being their interior guys ! No way ! These are not otherwise dumb people, so I don't get it. Same exact frweakin things happen with other people and motors...So.... |
You gotta give it Bob @ Marine Kinetics thou. ARB69 read all these first hand account of issues not only with Tim but all the other professional builders and ol SLick BHB has him believing it`s everyone elses fault but Marine Kinetics.
I wish I could hire a guy like that (except the crook part) He could sell an AC to a Eskimo! |
