A spacer adds phenom volume. If the engine needs more volume than the intake has, it will add power.

And with a carb it allows fuel to get flowing better too, helps air make turn less gradual, does several things, we will see when i bolt efi on what it does in this instance,Smitty

Interesting to read how differently our engines reacted to the 4500 as they are not too different. Makes me wonder if there's not something wrong with your Dom or my 4150. I did have my 4150 checked out and there weren't any issues. When I talked to Patrick at Pro Systems about my results he said he would expect the 4500 to make more which it did.

WAP many things play factors in carb needs though. Hard to say....

We will see prob monday, norm built both carbs, he has hundreds of hours of development and dynoing/tweaking with various versions of this 4150. The
Next test will be a back to back samr day/same dyno test with his modded dominator against a box stock one. Cool part is the box stock one is same exact part number as his 1180 cfm one started as.
Lets hear guesses:
Less hp
Same hp
More hp
I will post monday night if i get to it, Smitty
Dont forget, the 4150 flows within 10 cfm of the modded dominator, has the venturis/butterflys in middle where its less affected by walls of plenum. I was talking to somone the other day, no way that 850 blah blah can keep up with a dominator
SAME AIR FLOW, better fuel distribution, better booster venturi signsl.

If you were interested and weren't switching over to f.I. so soon, I'd send you my 986 Pro Systems 4150 to check against your current carb.
I'm going to go with there being just a slight difference if any between the Doms when you test them.
I tried getting in touch a while ago about running one of my engines on your dyno but your pm's were full and I didn't pursue it. I still wouldn't rule it out. I never got the attention to detail I wanted from my builder on his dyno at the end.

Im already testing full forces carb and this stock dominator and renewing then testing these exotic race carbs that 33 outlaw/f2speedy has otherwise i would take you up on it. Im anxious to see where and what the differences are, news at 11 come monday, leaving on snowmobile trip otherwise it woukd be sooner, Smitty

Great, I forgot full force was sending his 4150. Give me a contact number so I can get in touch if you're interested in putting one or both of my engines on in the next couple months.
