So here are the results, I finally got the boat in the water today. So I changed the Dart intakes to Brodix HV 2001's, 950 HP carbs to 1050 CNC'd AED Dominators, Gill Dry to tip exhaust to K/E headers dry to tip exhaust, and -2 sportmaster to -3 IMCOs and Daytona ignitions. So far I've gained 500 RPMS and 8 mph. So top speed so far is 88 mph. That's without any tuning, I'll bought a 2 channel Innovative LM-2 so I'll be tuning it in with that. Either way, the boat is WAY snappier in the midrange than before and performs better everywhere. Getting on plane is tricky due to the -3's, but once up, it goes great. I'm 100% happy with the choices I made, a 1050 dominator is anything but too big. I think this carbs actually flow close to 1130 cfm's.

Yeah, it was a nice improvement. I have no idea what the biggest improvement was, which is too bad, but over all to gain a solid 500 rpms is pretty good. I do need to make a new cavitation plate. Like you said, going to short will cause issues. I made one long and one short. The short one is blowing out when I try to take off. All the work needs to be done by the other drive, and I have to feather the cavitating drive until the boat planes off. The end result is, I learned a few things, and I'm pretty happy with the results.

Here is the link to the carb. The JimV ported heads are what is really helping out here, but I think they were being restricted by the little carb and Gill exhaust last year. I know a fair amount of people thought the Dom would be too much carb, but the throttle response is far crisper than it ever was with the 4150. This is a 3 circuit converted to a 2 circuit dominator on my engines.

Okay, thanks for the info. I looked that up earlier and I saw the 3 circuits (thus 3 air bleeds per throttle bore)....so I figured/hoped you got something else or the pic was wrong. LOL.
Nice !

That's Bad Ass! Did you consider using the AED spacer with your new manifold? I've been looking at them for my QFT 800 on the merlin intakes I already have. I know your boat is a totally different animal but I curious what the x dim is compared to my 311 trs. Seems like the boat really likes your "Setup". Congrats on the gains!!!
