couple things can cause high water psi. Depth of the water pickup on the hull, restrictions on water exiting the engine. Such as, thermostat, too small lines to exhaust, etc. Personally, before bleeding water off, i try to make sure there is no exit restriction. if there isnt, than I'd take a good look at the pickups, If they are thru hull, and mounted excessively deep, raise them/trim them. Having them deeper than they need to be, only to blow the water off the side of the boat , is a waste, and on some boats, can scrub a bunch of speed. The pickups on my fountain are almost even with the bottom like Vintage's .

keep bleeders at rear of intake, the ones you're currently using are likely too big and are bypassing too much water, -4 hoses will flow enough water out and away from rear cylinders. (typically the problematic area of BBC) and rid potential steam pocketing of rear cylinders, what is your water pressure at speed?

That location works fine, but the hose may clog easily.. Thats where it was on my Pantera and clogged all the time. The ones on my AT are in the intake manifold and never clog.

I added a presure value to the intale line after my cooler.the hose was allready cut there.......got it set to the lowest possible rate.check all lines, exhoust risers are clean.move my presure line to the intake.i still peg the gauge.if my s pipes are to close to the exhoust will this raise water presure.i might cut the y pipes off to get them away from the riser pipe......can i get block off plates for a bravo 1 that draws water at the sides.
