Years ago my 496 Ho did the same thing,,,Remove the air intake screen just above the serpantine belt, the belt ,,dust,, sucks directly into the air intake, no mechanic could find the problem, after 4 weeks of derating engine, I removed the intake screen and it was full of belt dust, starving the engine for air,,after cleaning the intake screen it was perfect again,,just sayin check the small stuff.

Is it bouncing off the rev limiter? I haven't messed with one in awhile but I think the limiter will sound an alarm and pull RPM after so many times hitting it I think...could be wrong tho like I said been awhile lol

All rpm parameters seems to be on point … no bouncing and never hit rev limiter… just a 2 beep alarm … then sound like a loss of power afterward … im scanning it this weekend will keep you guys posted on this one .

I'm still thinking water pump actually....I know you said it's new but I think those have a flow and temp sensor for the water and you may not be getting the flow it wants or bad sensor or clogged sensor/line....keep us posted good luck!
