He builds the water pump intermediate housing from billet aluminum and makes his own V belt pulley (which is no longer available from Merc.),uses the Merc pump housing, and it all mounts to my original Merc. bracket with the rack and gear tensioner. All lines up perfectly. I then installed an electric fuel pump.
Or did you buy "his" sea water pump housing for the 1991-1997 and still need the block off plate??

Seals are cheap and once you remove the fuel pump, you SHOULD not have any more issues. I don't see why you even need any lube in there if you are not running a fuel pump. Any conterpoint input to that?

I wasn't sure if the bearings used the lube and or the eccentric for the fuel pump. If anything siezed because of lack of lube, it would ruin my day. Nobody seem to have any definitive answers, so I just wanted to be done with it. I know I could have stayed with the Dennis Moore version that kept the fuel pump, and it would have been a great improvement (and much more reasonably priced), but for me, I was done with that setup.
