Default 525 efi pricing question

New boat is almost finished and I believe I have decided against modifying (whipple) the existing pair of 525 efis and building custom (carbed) engines.

My question is; what would they sell for, zero hours, blank warranty cards and complete side by side exhaust (complete meaning collectors through transom).

What I am looking for is possibly somebody out there who has bought or sold these engines in this condition and what values they assigned them. Retail values are easy to find, I am trying to find market value.

All advice appreciated. PM me if you prefer to keep private. Need a starting point to place ad.

I was quoted right arround 24K for a new one in the box depending on powersteering or not add 100.00 or so. This included the CMI exhaust and tails, no transom tips.

Thanks Ray;

MSRP is a bit higher.

Was that through a dealer? The reason I ask is that is about the number I was thinking of asking.

Phil Lipshultz said don't take a penny under 25K but I wondered if that was because he is in a position to shoehorn that into a customer's boat on demand.

Marc @ Bam Marine, This was about 9 months ago too. I think they may of gone up 500 or so since then. You may want to Call Marc and get a price that is more curent.

I'm not sure what you are looking for; new EFI's or new carbed engines
