Default Hitch ball mounts, what are you using?

What hitch ball mounts are you using? Hollow ball mounts are rated at 5000 or 6000 lbs depending on the manufacturer. 2 5/16 trailer balls with a 1 inch shank are rated at 5000lbs or 6000lbs. Solid ball mounts are rated between 10k and 12k lbs. 2 5/16 balls with a 1 1/4 shank are rated at 10k lbs. Sure seems like a lot of us may be towing with the wrong ball mount and ball setup, I know I have been. I only noticed all this when I went to get a different drop hitch for my new boat and new truck combination. All along I have been towing my boat, car trailer, and camper with a 5000 lb max trailer weight setup.
