In regards to cleaning rust from the water jackets in the block- try your local (hot dip) galvanizing shop. They use an acid dip prior to the actual hot zinc dip to remove rust, scale, grease, paint, etc, from the parts to be galvanized.

BDS was also called and they, along with The Blower Shop, were pretty pricey. The fact that they have to manufacture rotors and bearing support plates means that the B&M units are expensive for them to do. At least that's the way I recall my conversations with both firms. They both are well-known for top-notch work.

Thats seem high  . what all do they do?

I figure most just need strips and bearings. I guess there is a deference between rebuilding and just a refreshen up.

Thanks for the info David

They had seen a lot of hard service and were pitted from salt. The party I purchased the boat from had it sitting for over 2 years and had ran it in salt apparently without flushing anything. Had to rebuild everything and replace all of the aeroquip fittings and braided lines. Luckily enought he chillers were salvagable.

I assume you mean the chillers to keep the liquid refreshments cold,,,,,,,, :D
Dennis, the next time you're in town dinner is on me. Dave is usually a light eater so feel free to tell him I'm buying.

Do you have a target date for having them on the dyno?

As soon as possible if Dave has no glitches. We are shipping to FL and have a poker run in Miaimi Jan 21st. If everything goes well it may be next week. If that is the case I may be able to be boating before New Years.
