He also keeps a well-stocked supply of really good cookies (the soft ones with M&M's in them) which seems to get seriously depleted whenever KAAMA is around,,,,,,,,,,, :p
EC39, when Dave pulled mine last spring they made 696 chp at 8 lbs, but I run them in the boat at 2-3 lbs., which is around 575hp. You've got a much more reliable package with the 540's and the top-shelf superchargers. Just my opinion.
Is your Cigarette a straight hull or stepped?

Looks like Dave spent Christmas day in the dyno room. You just might make it to that January run you've been planning to attend.
By the way, Dave showed me the dyno sheet. Great numbers, and a really nice torque profile from 3000 all the way up.

Some engine builders like Dave are dedicated :D .He uses his time wisely Most engine builders take pride in building motors .Some would build them for free if they could afford it. For the last 3 years I have been building motors for free for Friends . Free usually cost ya money :eek: , so your in the hole :eek: But I enjoy it anyway :drink:

If I won the lottery I would build motors for free plus parts plus beeeeeerrr.Dedication :drink:

Dave Wesseldyk gets ALL of his business by word of mouth and he gets a lot of business---not too shaby in light of the fact that he doesn't even advertise. I would also say that 99% of the engines that come into Dave's shop are for marine hi-performance/offshore applications.

I only live about 5-10 minutes away from Dave's shop and the way I know Dave and how he works is that he works very hard to complete projects, and doesn't take much time off. When there is work to get done in the shop you will see him there and most of the time it is 7 days a week. He usually works from 9am til 5-6pm, but when he is busy he will stay at his shop until about 9pm and his brother will help him out part time, but Dave is the only one who touches any assembly work. Right now he has about 6 brand new Dart Big M bare blocks with all the new parts sitting on the floor plus about 6 other used engines to rebuild. He enjoys what he does, gets at it, and makes it happen.

He's got those yella motors sitting there too,,,,,,,,I'm thinking we ought to run those in Dyno's boat to see how they run in the 31 Sonic.

Before Dave whipped the # 2 doogy on the dyno he checked the cooler. Dave's comment was " You are lucky man, I can't even understand how water was getting through there. That engine should have burned up.
