Not once but 2 times in a little over a year. Thats what happens when you have to race other great racers! If you don't spin once and a while you most likely aren't pushing it to the limit.

Just wait till Augie and Smitty get back from thier recruiting session in Sarasota this weekend. They are calling in all the 'Favors' and you know that the Godfather always collects on favors.

Having read this post again I thought maybe you were used to running 40 or 50 plus miles of racing at your events.

Having looked at your history on the SBI website, you actual only averaged 30.13 miles for 4 events with a total of 6 races.
Here is what they show:

27.7 miles Miami
24.7 miles Fort L One
30.2 miles Fort L Two
35.7 miles Marathon One
35.7 miles Marathon Two
26.8 miles Marathon 4th Annual

At each event there was only 1 other boat entered in your Class.

Now for the math....

The Surf Club Ortley Beach, NJ Race the SVL Class is 22 miles.

That would be:
5.7 miles less than Miami
2.7 miles less than Fort L One
8.2 miles less than Fort L Two
10.7 miles less than Marathon One & Two each
4.8 miles less than the 4th Annual Marathon

With so little diffrence in mileage than what you have been already racing all season, I just don't buy the excuse of a (22 mile course) is the reason you are not showing...

The real difference will be not just the length of the course, but you will have more than 1 other entry in your class...

Hopefully the Jersey Boyz had a "Sit Down" with you by now, and you have changed your mind to come. :drink:

I hope you make it! But as the saying goes, " If you can't run....." well, you know the rest..... ;) :D

It wasn't that long ago when I was being tossed under the bus for breaking  And now the team that does all there maintenance and has a UIM championship breaks. How can this be? :evilb: And you were worried about a 22 mile race. Just think maybe you would have had a shot at finishing

At this point I hope you don't show! You are not worthy of being in such a great race. Smitty busted his balls to put on this grudge match for you as much as anything. PLEASE DON'T SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Randy,

According to Dry Hump's profile, he/she doesn't own a boat.
Is it still possible for he/she to win that award?

Dry Hump seems to have alot to say, but doesn't have the courage to identify himself.

So, maybe our illustrious moderator will ban him from posting in the forum.

Mark....

lets just cut to the chase...If shane thought he had the slightest chance of winning, he wouldn't be whining about the 22 mile course. 10 k is 10 k no matter how you slice it. its more than he'll win all season down there.

he has no legit excuse for not accepting the challenge. he's just scared.

and I guess someone must be lying, because I heard he got booted too.

true colors eventually come out. Some of us just see them sooner than others.

That's all well and good. If you believe that, I have a bridge here in NY for sale cheap :D

Dont make a bigger fool of yourself than you already are. We know what happened and the specifics dont need to be posted here in the public forum.

We know it got ugly...and thats it. So leave it be. Or it WILL get uglier.

Don't try and save a sinking ship or you will be pulled down with it.

The "bridge" comment simply means. If you're dumb enough to believe the crap you are laying down, then your dumb enough to buy a bridge that I have for sale.

I am not threatening you personally. I'm merely stating that if you keep it up, the entire ugly truth will be made public. And if you have any respect for Shane and the Extreme team, you'll quit now.

Im done threatening you. Now someone else can take over. You're making your own enemies one at a time. And eventually, someone will knock you silly. It May even be one of those whom you worship so much.

Ready to keep going on things being unnoticed? I've got much more.

If you finished my complete quote, it wasn't that I like the idea of the short race, it was the idea that if it was going to be a short race, then make as many laps in front of the spectators as possible ...

Guy's, please let it all go. It's done, finished...things just didn't work out. The whole concept was to get the SVL's together let them make a little $$$ and settle most of the trash talking. The person I feel bad for is Smitty who is going into his pocket to make this happen but as Bruce said, it's still on and someone's walking away with 10 G's. Leave the AMF/Shane thing go, at this point it doesn't help anyone. Thanks, Augie

ScottB 07-07-2005 03:13 PM

Re: SVL Point Pleasant

OK Boys, the official story regarding AMF and Extreme racing is this.
AMF and Extreme Mutually decided to part ways. Nobody quit, nobody got fired, and it is definately not because of Point Pleasant. Amf will be concentratiing on Running the National Series as well as growing OPA and running divisionals. Extreme will be devoting 100% of their efforts into the National series. Sure there are disagreements and that happens. Nobody ever tried to put a 5 boat team together. Gary and Shane are great racers and have a great team and if you think otherwise, your dead wrong. We wish them only the best and continued success.

Dry HUMP

First off...Its not my call.
Second....we had the mutual grounds laid out and OPA was the sponsoring group
Third...it would be easier for one boat to make the move instead of 7. I even offered to pay Shanes registration and entry fees if he came over for one race. That offer still stands.

And lastly
Who the hell are you????

Actually, everyone in OSS has already raced against Shane and Gary three times (Key West 2004).

That means that Shane and Gary have raced against Randy, Wil, Vinny and the SVL gang in two more races than you have.
