john, you guys on the east coast have a larger attendence and from reading a prev post u made remark stating you liked the fact there were going to be more boats at one of your events.. hmmm i believe it said 15 + p class boats that would be awsome..
last event we had 1 huge ass apache / 1 bat boat / 1 eliminator cat / 1 small formula / 1 35 fountain /1 warlock i believe/ 6 boats,
p3 warlock
p4 fountain / bat / eliminator / apache
p5 formula

Jonas,
Don't listen to them, you are at least trying to help.
I have never seen the term "give it up" associated with winning.
Even if you plan is not adopted, it will make people think, which is what we need to do on the west coast. Think about racing!!!

Jonis, what I like about your plan the most is actually making the boats run a speed trap first to have a base line. Then record what prop they ran. Then handicap the boat based on size and water CONDITIONS. Class designations don't have to be handed out till the hour before the boats go in the water. You CAN"T put a 28' Skater against a 40' Skater just because they both go 125 mph. I don't have the answers just ideas. If you don't ask,you don't get input. On the bright side P class does get better every year and is the ONLY way to cut back on class's where you don't have a huge fleet to start.
