Honestly, I try to avoid the OSS website. I think Randy is the one that said " OSS only posts races that have signed contracts" Last year we saw how that worked out for OSS(not true) and once again this year. I know for a fact that OSS never had a contract with Louisville, yet they posted it, they still dont have a contract with KW yet it is still posted, for that matter OSS isnt even invited, but its on the OSS website. So bottom line, the OSS web site is nothing but Smoke and Mirrors to me. As I stated above, a Letter of INTENT was signed at the Miami Boat Show. Both SBI and OSS released this letter of INTENT on their respective websites, and yes in the letter of INTENT there was no mention of APBA. And yes OSS officials had a contract(unsigned) in their hands from March forward and after over 10 revisions they finally signed it and made it official AFTER APBA had already done so. Best thing for you to do is to call your Board of Directors or your CEO and I am sure that you will find that they had the letter of INTENT from March but never signed the contract until AFTER Sarasota, which is where APBA signed the contract. I have my facts straight sir
Good luck to you this year and I look forward to meeting you at the 2 SBI/APBA races this year that you guys run in order to be qualified for KW.

Randy, Not picking an arguement here, but i disagree, especially when it comes to Offshore racing. There are 3 sides to a story, the first side, the second side and finally the truth.
I still love ya bud, but your making it real hard on me to try and figure out where the heck your coming from sometimes with your posts on here. When we first met, I got the impression that all you cared about was racing, whether it was with SBI, APBA, OPA, etc etc Now you have become a sort of spokesman and believe that running 2 races, another 2 that piggybacked GLSCS, and 1 race that piggybacked SBI is the best thing since sliced bread. Come on bud, bring the old smack talking Candy back, we miss him.

What happened to the 2 starts and anyone can run?
Trent,
Are you speaking on behalf of SBI/APBA/UIM/WPR ???
Damn! For something so simple, it sure is getting confusing around here lately....

It's way too early for racers to dig their heals in the dirt and draw lines in the sand regarding who is invited and who is not welcomed at a hosted world championship.
A championship title is gauged by history based on who is invited and who is not welcomed to challenge. The greater the exclusion the less the title is worth.
Each organization has their programs and the organization that holds a title championship should invite all those that are willing to challenge for a title as long as they are qualified by their respective organizations and can mount a respectable challenge. To not do so is disrespectful of the other organization, it's members and the fans. It is usually met with the same respect making both titles worth less in the long run.

Yes any racer that has 2 SBI/APBA national or divisional classes are eligible for KW in the class that they race those two races in.
No I am not speaking on behalf of SBI/APBA, I am speaking on behalf of that I took the time to read the SBI/APBA rulebook that has been posted on their website.
It is simple, its in black and white and accessable 24 hours a day to anyone with internet access.

For those two races plus the 3 races in Key West, here is a rule all other racers should be aware of:
Section C page 32
Competitors should not display on their boat, uniforms or transporter the logo of any non-SBIP/APBA offshore racing sanctioning body or any other such sanctioning body. SBIP/APBA reserves the right to require the removal of any such logos or marks as a condition of entry into an EVENT.
Those that choose to race both sanctioning bodies may want to consider Velcro patches for your uniforms, Magnetic Signs for your transporter, and cut a pre-season deal ahead of time with Ryan Beckly for all the decals for the boat that will have to go on and off throughout the season....
What does this mean for "The Jersey Boyz" and OPA???
Will they have to strip their colors from their boats when they race with SBIP/APBA?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but OPA is their own sanctioning body with their own insurance...
I don't believe they are the NE Division of SBI any longer...
Graphics and Uniforms will get very expensive. Especially that you will also need to add the SBIP/APBA sponsor's logos to your uniforms...
Good Luck all!!!
