had friends that were there in 05 as well and said everything was o.k. this year it looked a lot different though. no boats back in the pool at all, lots of boats anchored on the way to the pool though. great area.

That sounds like a blast. I am in Boyne as well. Every year, for the last four years we (Wife & kids) have taken a one week trip somewhere in our 230 Conquest PQ. Last year we put in at Boyne and went to Mac island - Hessel - cedarville. Previous years included Lealand and Beaver. We have been eyeballing the Georgian Bay for a couple years now.
We are currently looking to upgrade to a 340 or 380 PQ. If we wouldn't be crowding it up too much, I think I'ld like to tag along. |

I will start a new thread just devoted to a Georgian Bay trip we will host. I have lots of ideas on how we can make this real interesting for you all. It will be a trip you will not soon forget. Looking forward to it. We will pick a date that does not conflict with any events going on here or in MI.:D
Bob Anyway, I would prefer to follow the locals or someone who knows those waters well. If you have a crowd of boats going I'd be happy to bring up the rear. When I was in the Marines out on patrol we called it the "Tailman Charlie". :cool-smiley-011: |
Is this open to anyone, I'm sure there are some people from the Wisconsin area that would be intrested.

There are protected waters on the east side of the Bay but lots of open water from there up to Killarney area and back down to Tobermorey.
