I totally agree with you cig92 infact when Parnell and I sat down with the Sheriffs last summer they told us the number one complainer is a well known politician name Peter Seckia, don't know if I spelled that right, who lives right by the channel on North Shore drive. He has a direct line to the Sherriff's office. It's BS!! The only thing I am saying is that GH is a great town and now that I am out here and run a marina downtown, I will do whatever I have to keep people coming back to this town. If you had a bad experience and don't want to come back than that's your deal but I am asking you to keep that to yourself and quit scaring away possible customers to the town. I deal with the BS all the time whether it's myself or one of my customers so I feel for everyone that's had problems but it sucks when I meet a possible customer that tells me he will never come to GH because he read about it on OSO.

stainless turn down look like sh== also but a smart man spent 20 on some pvc that he threw away ten mins after the test that the cops just had to have !! let me guess your running kmart stainless flex pipe "cause its cool" and you like to overpay for something that you don't want but the cops want you to have i say be a man and run the loud pipes until you get fined then use some 20 dollar pvc use it to get the ticket cleared then throw them in the closet for next time f--k the police

Brandon,
Where are you from? You had a post about a cig for sale on craigslist and it was deleted. I believe you live on hickory in spring lake, MI and just purchased the boat. Once you see my reference post at the bottom (if you are the same guy) you will know who I am.

Maybe you did not read this whole post. I have been pulled over and ticketed several times over the years. My boat is fairly easy to notice. Since I am out 1-2 times during the week and every fri.-Sun. They know me by name. If you Are from spring lake (which I suspect you are) you would know that if you are pulled over and do not pass, you will be sent to your trailer and have to prove you fixed it. If your boat blends in you will be lucky and get away with it the next time assuming you pass. If you don't pass you will again be sited.

Lets say your not lucky and get puller over a third time. You will receive a letter from judge Kloote (Ottawa county) to appear in court. At that time they will suspend your boating privileges in MI.

No flex pipe here. I made, along with most other parts on my boat, Switch able stainless mufflers that are powder coated to match the other 190 parts. They are manually switched and pass at 82-86db. (depending how close they hold the meter) When open they are straight through at 113db. The best part is they don't look like a muffler hanging off the back. Other parts I made are the 13" extension boxes. So its not some hack job. I promise, if you get pulled over a third time you will be headed to court.

Since you had/have a cig for sale for 69k, your telling me you can't afford a set of mufflers for 1k. Hell, even if you want to be a man (as you say) you can pull them off after you show the cops. At least you would look good on the water. Sorry it just looks extremely cheap to me. If you are in town for the weekend and need to pass, then by all means do what ya have to do.

The only flex SS flex pipes around here are on Tyler's 46 skater and a old 38 flat deck cig.

Feel free to view post #533 through #537 to see my mufflers.

So if you are who I think...Stop by for a beer sometime, since you live around the corner.

Here it is:
http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/boa/599507408.html

Looks like the one around the corner from me. Boat is listed in Wisconsin with a location of MI and a 616 area code phone number. Thats why I assume it is near me.

Probably 800's or so in it? Should be good for some tickets around here with dry exhaust. What speeds? 82-85...

900 hp on dyno 85 at 3/4 throttle 90 when you play with the drives and tabs a little !! Ok the exhaust thing i didn't mean anything by it but come on now , there is no muffler on the face of this planet that will get this boat down below 90 db at an idle .. Ive tried piping it in the water yes with pvc to see if i would pass did not work the blowers are still to loud .. It was a--hole on spring lake that tested me twice!! i was around 90 with one engine .. After i took the boat in and had all kinds of things changed so it would run with the exhaust piped in the water (to much reversion from the cam) .. Still the cops were not impressed .. If you had looked at some of my other boats you would know i have no problem spending money on mufflers but they need to work.. stop on down lets take the cig for a ride ill split the ticket with ya haha !! or we could just go to muskegon where the cops are cool ..

I thought that was you. When did you get the cig? It just showed up toward the end of the year. I saw the hatch open a few times and stopped by, but you must have been on a parts run. The boat looks good from the street.

It was probably Dykhouse that got you on Spring lake. He lives right by Coop's party store and hates all loud boats. After the past couple years I have gotten to know them all. Especially since my neighbor is a Ottawa county sheriff.

I'm sure I can get it legal. I have spent three years making every kind of muffler you can think of. May just require some water re-routing or modding the tails to get rid of the reversion. When is a good time or day to stop by?

A little off the subject but not to far. Jenny just signed PA 530a noise law in the state of Michigan for snowmobiles. I am sure there will be many more to come.

Im usually always home .. Your neighbor is a cool guy ,dykhouse on the other hand is a di-k ive had more problems with him then anyone else !! Hes got me five times in three different boats !! every boat was borderline but the cig i don't even dare come near sl or gh now not even holland i have to go north !!!I don't get why he has his own personal sheriff boat .. More than once ive seen him out off duty just burning up the tax payers gas at 4.00 a gallon why not just have the springlake property owners association just pitch in some more money and buy the guy some fishing poles so he can relax a little more!! He is the main reason for the whole exhaust enforcement to begin with, SPRING LAKE PROPERTY OWNERS ASSN!! Lets guess whos a member!! And who the old gezzers look to for enforcement help hes just a puppet .. If you don't like the noise better just move off the lake !!

Thats funny! I have seen the same thing. I don't think he even uses his personal boat much. I have rarely seen it leave.

Assuming the number in the add was your cell...I will give you a call prior to stopping by.
