Grand Haven, MI exhaust...

I boat in Holland, mostly because it's about as close as Grand Haven to me - without the extra noise harrassment that I hear about in GH... but I definitely enjoy going out on the lake after work 2-3 times a week... doesn't matter where. In Holland, for whatever reason, they have been really friendly to us night boaters...
I think they expect the yahoo's that rev their engines in the channel and blow past you on macatawa (while I wait for my oil temps to rise and oil pressure to drop) to all be out on the weekends. I certainly don't like drawing any extra attention. I do know a few guys that were getting ticketed on the weekends in Holland. Most of the time, I run one engine in the channels just to be quiet... (warm one engine up, then the other)
It's REALLY hard to pass the 90dB law with any horsepower and especially if they make you run both engines.

By the way Mark! I had tears in my eyes when you were taking off passing by me at an idle up at Hardy Dam - I wish I had the camera rolling. Your boat sounds sweet at an idle and even better accelerating. We'll have to meet up this summer and make some noise
I have only run the boat without mufflers 2 times, once in Pentwater, once at Hardy.

I enjoyed that video of your boat you took up at Pent Water and the fly by you did at Brower Park---the sound of your boat is certainly no slouch either! Of course, I always like the sound of a well tuned engine....especially if it is a twin engine application doing the exact same RPM.

[QUOTE=KAAMA;2503721]Ha....Thanks Jeff, that is a compliment to me. Where were we?----up at the sand bar??? I like the video you took of my boat on Youtube as you were coming up behind me where you can hear the sound of my Stellings rattlin'....and later when we were down by Consumer's Beach near the party cove.
Yeah, you did a flyby up by the sandbar that I wish I had on video... you never know how the mic will pick it up with that much noise, but it sounded sweet anyway... Those stellings do make some kind of a rattle

Only boated once in GH last year. Single 575sci with straight up CMI headers...scared out of my mind the whole time about being pulled over. I truly believe the Sheriff would have stopped me IF he would have seen any alcohol cans or bottles...saw all water bottles. Very busy weekend and he was looking for a bigger fish. Night life is good there but I get really sick of idling and idling and idling and more idling and you get the pic. Also being over 26' you cannot plane on Spring Lake so more idling. Only going back this year to launch for Chi town. I guess I will be buying some PVC.

Get some video, file a complaint with the county and call one of the GR TV stations with this story of the waist of taxpayers money .
