Jmemoli,was going over my notes on vixen last night,i always wrote everything down when i tried somthing different and i found ware i had tried a 15 an half 26 hydromotive prop and it plain killed the performance.Now maybe at 17 it might have worked,i dont no.Is your boat at Richys shop in the Cape?

Thanks for the feedback Mel . Actually Richie Jr. here in Nj is doing the work .
I know what you mean about being close to the sweet spot - My older mag with twins was set up at 16 1/2 , and just broke the mirage plus' loose when getting on plane , which i think were around 14 1/2 diameter .
My last Pantera (same bottom) had around a 17 " (per Joe atPantera ) which worked really well, but did have lots of slip when cruising .
Sounds like 16 3/4 may be the magic number ? Prop wise I will probably stick with the B1s, which tend to work pretty well with these boats .
