-----I hadnt thought of that, Mark. Thanks for including the Fino. Its in really good company up here, for sure.
-----They were pulling around the trailer Friday as I was leaving. I expect to see shafts, props, and rudders all
back on pretty quick. I need John Davis to do his thing with the rails and then the Pills can get dropped back in.......Bill S

The Mag made it into the water today. I was a little nervous that with the drives raised 3 inches that it would be a little hard to get on plane, NOT!!! I ran it for about 20 minuets with no problems. One of my concerns was the fact it was not running a thermostat. With 60 degree lake water temp the engines temp did get up to around 135 degrees so I did run it all the way out. Bud you were right this Mag flies for what it is. Many who thought this ebay Mag was beyond saving, this test put that Idea to rest. Now the fun begins to restoring this classic Mag.

A bit late catching up here . . . congrats on the great initial run. And most of all very pleased to read about the drive height and getting on plane.
Can I ask you to email me directly the picture of your transom as my boat is now entering reassembly . . and I'll be installing two Volvo 280 drives, using the original Volvo trim . . adding Imco steering . . and K-Planes . .

With the engines and drives raised 3" , how did Roger maintain the flat engine hatch?

Mario Pic's sent. I'm running 23 pitch mirage merc props as these Volvo drives have merc prop shafts. This Mag gets on plane so good I may not reinstall the power trim as these props worked very well on the 2nd pin. After talking to Jeff he thinks they work much better than his Solex props.

I actually just sent you a private message seconds ago . Thanks for the reply here . I have a unique boat I think , I will add more on it later but appears to be factory with a bracket and outboards , I cant find much information though .

theres no time to waste.
But making head way. Is the Fino on the trailer yet ? It sure looks great with it's new paint. Being built at the Magnum plant she is a Lake St Clair Magnum too.
