The #2 pic that Mark just posted of the Wolverine, you can see that it looks thick and glossy with the numbers running threw it

What can i use that will make the bow look clean, thick, glossy

Len Thank guys

Len.....I'm a little choked up.......I'm very proud of you for trying to restore the sweet glory of the wood inlay......

That said......it's a plastic laminate right?......so I'm not sure you could coat it?........maybe try polishing it like paint?

Otherwise......this winter I'm installing a nice piece of Ribbon Mahogany on my deck.....then I'll varnish it so it's glossy.

Yes (laminate inlay) ive sanding off what ever the guy before me put on it as it was peeling and flakeing off, so now im down to the laminate inlay, is there anything to put on it to protect it,????????

Also What are others doing when they paint it a colour, Are they takeing out the inlay and primeing it than painting it or replaceing it with something eles

If you don't want the wood you could do a rubber non-skid like some of the Sports had.....at least I think it was rubber?......I guess it could be a laminate?

Anyone?

Those are some awesome pics of Wolverine...THANKS ......Never knew about the Magnum.

In one of thse pics I can even see the porch steps of the Emerald City Boat Club.

I can rember how they used to keep the boats in the water under the covered wells. I dont think now a days you would keep these boats in the water??

Mine has been painted purple, they painted right over the laminate. I don't see why you couldn't wet sand yours and spray it with a urethane clear coat.

Hello Len,

Mine was sanded down and then painted to match the color of the hull. I can't not remember really seeing one of the laminate wood once last with out getting funky looking
Good luck with your Sport.
Happy Holidays to all
thank you
Jim
