Any chance you will be in Key West for the races next month? I would take you up on the cold one there.

When I get calls on complete rebuilds I usally tell them two years unless you have unlimited funds. If you are having it done by a full time re builder one year is a goodguess.

No. I wish I could make it. I'm missing my south Florida fix.

Skipped Fiberglass work today, and the whole weekend for that matter, but I did manage to start putting together some sub assemblies. I have all my Powder Coating done at LoKo coatings, they always treat me right. They are not the cheapest, but the stuff comes back perfect every time. I was able to assemble the Bell housing / PDS assemblies, along with my 280S K planes and I even had him do the original Fram cannister fuel filters. I put these things together, and stuffed them away ready to install at a later date.

Mopar blue!! It's what I bleed when I cut myself lol

The very ends of the bell housing were corroded pretty bad, but are virtually impossible to find, and are still good where the bellows clamp on.

Did the inside to as they were pretty corroded there as well, this way they should hold up pretty well

Couldn't have black tabs with white outdrives...

Got back to glassin today, put the second layer of 1708 tabbing between the deck and the hull, and got all 4 diagonal stringers glassed in with 2 layers of 1708. Tomorrow I plan on finishing up all the tabbing to the transom and whatever detail spots I need to do. Wow! There is a light at the end of the fiberglassing in the bilge phase of the resto-mod...

Glad this is over! I measured 3 times and cut twice... Layed out the transom and cut the new drive openings out. Raised the "X" 2" and spread the centerline out to 32" from the 31, to give me room for bigger exhaust. Nice thing about going to the 290/SP transom is the fact that I didn't have to do any filling.

That looks different, it might work, but the shape is much different. I may just take them to the glass shop and see what they say,
