It`s ancient but the it works.
I like the knock sensors. They listen for knock, figure out which cylinder is knocking and it retards that hole only . Holley can`t do that ..
Eddie sets em up for 5% extra fuel if it knocks more that 2* to try and cool the cylinders.... limiter kicks in if more than 4*
The way he dynoes em is key imop. The tune is the most important part. The best of the best parts aren`t going to save you if the tune is no good.
He`ll go to 4000rpm go wide open, the brake brings it down to 3200rpm and loads the engines like a boat can`t .. Then he tunes every few hundred rpm while WOT.
If it doesnt knock on the dyno it never will in the boat, I couldn`t put a load on them like the dyno can.

Holley stuff didn`t go with the engines so that will be going up for sale soon. Wholesale pricing.
Just be aware of the OPERATING system limitations for using old software like that. (the GM engineering software)

I have a friend that has to keep a Windows 2000 PC and a Windows NT PC, isolated and operational, even though Microsoft doesn't support those operating systems anymore, nor do any of the cybersecurity product vendors. (Car tuning & dyno operation for some older cars.)
He can't use virtual workstations because they require physical serial port connections, and trying to adapt to them through a host machine doesn't work when those modern host machines get patched and updated.

You don't want to get bit, being permanently married to a machine that dies, and then you are locked out and back to square one.

Are you sure you can handle just going out and turning the key for a trouble free day of boating? lol Seriously though, you took them to the right person. One thing about Eddie is he will pick up the phone day or night and answer any questions you have, then he's going to keep on talking about anything that comes up!! I've had a quick 5 min call turn into a 30 min call a few times.

Brian,
What would die and lock me out ?
The MEFI ecu?
I used windows 10 and 11 with mefi burn.
I had one ECU die and got it repaired for $500.
They are harder to come by. The desert baja crowd loves em for their durability .
4a`s I had are not as durable as the 4Bs. Eddie uses.

I've had great luck with MEFI 4A's even have a spare (not for sale), I use MEFI tune and burn on a windows 7 laptop. Looking down the road what else would be good besides Holley as a EFI system that I can tune.

Got me a drive guard made before dropping off the boat at Performance so it can also get painted

Wow so do your Due Diligence to check everything out before buying a "running" boat.

Next full rebuilds, new interior, I assume drives and Transmissions checked,,,,,,,was this priced as a deal?

Deep pockets.
