Don’t think anyone would’ve liked those tunes. Like “The Doors” bad.

Good thing he was able to focus on the motors…

I should clarify, when he said he hasn`t seen anyhing like it he meant when I shift, the engines die like you hit a switch . not the reffering at the ATCO tune. When I first got the boat they shifted perfect actually, just wouldn`t stay running in gear .

O my comment wasn't directed at Eddie the guy knows his chit, yrs back I built some 540's with Brad Smith, mefi 3's and when they went to the next owner his mechanic said the tunes were incomplete.....I said are you saying Smith Power doesn't know what he's doing, he was one of the best before he and Jeff were taken to soon.RIP my friend.

HA! and it`s red too !!

UPDATE : Original motors are sold

New Eddie Young motors this spring:

565ci
Merlin IV block billet caps
Lunati crank
Howard Billet rods
Shaft rockers
Belt drive
Brodix CNC heads
Distributerless igniton LS coils
Crank sensor
Custom sheet metal oil pan
Moac intercooler
4L whipple
Mefi still but that`s what Eddie likes.
Fully dyno tuned.
1100ish hp.

Should be done Spring next year , short blocks are already assembled, someone sold of a build halfway thru and I picked it up from there.
Hoping I won`t have to wrench for a while.
Now I just gotta sell a few kidneys.

Me putting together and tuning engines hasn`t really worked out so time to try something else.

I`m not really sure what was going on with the original engines.
They were lazy. Got to 117mph one time beginning of season cold weather but after that it struggled to get past 110mph in LOTO and TN. heat .Even Eddie couldn`t get it running fast and he has a lot of seat time in these as he used to buid engines for Nortech . With 850hp a 3600 should be good for 130mph so how does a 588ci making 10lbs of boost not get past 110mph ? Weird.
They says the more power the better the ride, well then it should feel like a rocket ship!!!. I thought it was pretty quick as is

Cant wait!!!

He has the GM engineer software and he can do a lot with it , more than Holley.
It`s ancient but the it works.
I like the knock sensors. They listen for knock, figure out which cylinder is knocking and it retards that hole only . Holley can`t do that ..
Eddie sets em up for 5% extra fuel if it knocks more that 2* to try and cool the cylinders.... limiter kicks in if more than 4*
The way he dynoes em is key imop. The tune is the most important part. The best of the best parts aren`t going to save you if the tune is no good.
He`ll go to 4000rpm go wide open, the brake brings it down to 3200rpm and loads the engines like a boat can`t .. Then he tunes every few hundred rpm while WOT.
If it doesnt knock on the dyno it never will in the boat, I couldn`t put a load on them like the dyno can.

Holley stuff didn`t go with the engines so that will be going up for sale soon. Wholesale pricing.

Thats kick ass, I might be able to help on the funding of the new engines and take the Holley stuff.......
