[QUOTE=ICDEDPPL;4931528]First engine made 1050hp at 6200 with 7ish psi.
1075 with another pound of boost but I like the my boost to be on the low side side so I`m good with 7psi, lets just go boating . Boat doesnt need a bunch of power to go fast.

That engine sounds really good and good numbers. Think you were looking for 1100 hp. You are right there. Should be plenty of power to have a lot of fun with. Think those are 4.0 liters and about maxes out on 565's so there is not much more to be had. Eddie does really nice engines and the setups are well proven.

Funny, I am still waiting on one set of heads for my engines. Suppost to ship out in a week or two. Had them on order since mid April. Maybe next year to have my boat in the water so don't think you are alone getting things together.

That`s crazy things are still on back order man.
You`ll get there, I`m just happy about having a second boat to go on.. I burned a tank and a half in the jet boat last weekend on a poker run .. I just had to get a real good head start and skip a few stops LOL.
Coil on plug and distribuless ignition with dual knock sensors, super hot coils, 55mm cam, .904 lifters , 385CNC heads, piston oilers...etc should make for a nice safe combo.

Them 4liters are pretty stout. I don`t think it`s maxed out on a 565ci
Eddie made just shy of 1300hp on a 598 recently witha 4 liter.

He started with smaller pulleys and it would have hit almost 1200hp with 11psi but he didn`t let it go that far.

That's pretty awesome...Congrats! Love that torque curve.

100+ psi of oil pressure !?!? Is that normal for one of these caliber engs?

Oil at 163* the oil will be thicker and oil pressure will be higher .
Should be closer to 80ish once the oil thins out with heat.
It`s a high volume high pressure melling pump .

Might want to consider adding a DC to DC converter. I added one to my boat off one motor only - sends up to 50 Amps (dynamically) from deep cycle starter battery/port motor alternator to 200AH LIFEPO4 house battery. This way you can keep the fridge cold and AC going while under way and not discharge house battery until engine turned off. IT's been working great (so far).

Lots of rigging for intercooler, fuel system, overboard hoses and lots of little odds and ends but got one in so far.
