Pretty much the same reason I have always liked them, and the looks. I just am not in that zip code to own one.

The sponsons cut the slop real well.
I remember thinking a big heavy V is the best boat for big water, I was wrong.

I don`t like the pop up cleats that came on this boat.
I do like the larger newer style cleats and I`m slowly getting rid of all the stainless. (exhaust is getting powdercoated black )

Had a bezel 3D printed to make up for the old cleat footprint. since no such product exists and the newer style cleats dont cover the old footprint.
Final product will be annodized black.
I`ll be able to fit my large lines thru these cleats much easier.

Funny those are the same Cleats I have for my new boat build. I am contouring the outer edge to an oval shape, so not so squared off for my boat. As another said the base would look better if it matched the Cleat profile. The dock lines don't know the difference in the profile but on-lookers sure do.

Thumbs up

Hmmm good points
So more square?
I was trying to keep the footpring just big enough to cover the old cleat footprint and not have it too large but I`ll have my guy print a square one and let`s see how it looks .

Can the new cleats be taken apart somehow and a different size thingy be installed instead?

Not what I was saying but if squared of corners are what you want... What I am saying is that you got a really curvey girl and put squares on her. In my view it just doen't flow. That 3600 is gorgeous so keep the curves going. All it takes is a belt sander to profile the Cleats. Then do the base profile to match. I am doing that oval profile on my, new build, curvey 28 cat plus it makes it my own. Then have them powder coated grey matallic to match my hull.

Yeah just not a fan of the squared look as suggested.
Going with my first choice.
