Are you going to be staying over night? I wouldn't wait too long to try to book a room. We're going out Sunday too.

Does anyone know IF, WHEN and WHERE the raft up for the misic is going to be? I didn't see any mention of it on the PR site.

fireboatpilot 08-12-2011 12:05 AM

Scott- theres about a 4-5 ft tide there but you shouldn't have a problem with a 25ft if thats your boat. Interested in bigger water? Make the run with us to the bay on the 27th and 28th. Trailering down.

demag67 08-12-2011 06:15 AM

im just heading down for saturday, gonna drive back saturday night.

Thanks. Been down the bay several times. Have many friends down there. Probably won't make it that weekend though.

demag67 08-12-2011 03:56 PM

fireboat, was thinking about going down to red eyes, instead of jellyfish joels, the music and hang out is supposed to be there. would you be up for the run down there.

I've never been there so I don't know the way in but I'm sure that it will be obvious since thats where the PR is stopping for lunch, so it will be mobbed and we might not find a place to dock? I'd be willing to give it a shot though.

demag67 08-12-2011 10:27 PM

I have a gps so I can punch it in. I think that is the first stop. supposed to have a bikini contest, live band and the lunch there I think. we should be able to raft somewhere hopefully. It's about 40 minutes past jelly fish joels. I can cruise at 40 or a little faster if need be. Will that be good for you

fireboatpilot 08-13-2011 08:38 AM

40! Yea I guess, LOL. I'm used to going slow when I cruise with Mooky, I hope he reads this! If I get bored I just do circles around you. Thought you said you had twin OB's? Sorry, I'll stop. I can't seem to be able to take mine out without breaking something so I'll shut up now. We'll play it by ear.

fireboatpilot 08-13-2011 08:40 AM

Rooms are booked and some are still available at the North East MD Holiday Inn Express. Plenty of parking for trucks and trailers!

Come on guys, no body else wants to go?

demag67 08-13-2011 04:28 PM

we will play it by ear. if i have to pick it up i can run a little faster. i think mookey is faster than me.

Are you kidding? I needed a boat just to go down the street. That was a crazy storm.

demag67 08-14-2011 09:23 PM

guessing the river is gonna be a mess because of all this rain.

fireboatpilot 08-15-2011 01:48 PM

You bettcha! I came across the Trenton bridge yesterday during one of those downpours and it looked like the mighty Mississippi raging waters. Can't wait to get to work tonight. Always somebody stranded on the river.

demag67 08-15-2011 07:18 PM

hopefully it clears up fast. i want to go out and make sure everything is good before rock the bay.

fireboatpilot 08-15-2011 10:22 PM

I think I'm gonna try to get out on Saturday for a quick run. My dad's never been on the boat so I'm gonna try and take him for a blast. Hes 79 so it'll be in and out and a little subdued so I don't hurt him by accident.

demag67 08-16-2011 09:11 AM

well take it easy on him and the boat

Doesn't look good. Calling for more rain on sunday then saturday.

Craney 08-20-2011 04:01 AM

Not till Sunday night at the shore.

Baja555 08-20-2011 12:47 PM

if it doesnt rain I will be putting in at shady river

fireboatpilot 08-20-2011 02:59 PM

Hit the Delaware River today for a couple hours dodging debris everywhere. Wasn't horrible but not great either. Had my 79 year old father on the boat for the first time so slower was good anyway.

All ready for the Chesapeke next weekend. Got a bad reminder that not only do you need to put the bilge pplugs in before going out but remember to remove them when you come in. After all that rain we had there was over a foot of water in the bilge. Now I have a mess to clean up for sure. It was all new and shiney too, Damn it!

Shady river, you can jump in with me if you don't wont to take your boat.Give me a call (856) 863-5635,

Scabby Jack 08-20-2011 09:31 PM

Was out today between Riverton and Burlington. Lots of junk but I only saw one piece big enough to really worry about. Was a nice day with not too much traffic.

fireboatpilot 08-20-2011 10:46 PM

It's the crap you can't see, just below the surface that will get you everytime. Whole tree submerged with a little twig sticking out. It was nice though. What gets me though is the jet ski retards that first, think they can run with me. granted a few of then are fast but as I pull away from them at 60-70 if I hit something I might break something, if they hit something its a funeral.

Anyway. clean the boat up during the week and get ready for Rock the Bay this coming weekend. guess Demag and myself are the only takers? Too Bad!

kilrbusa 08-21-2011 03:52 AM

how do you get a foot of water in the bildge...are your pumps manual? if so maybe try a set that are on auto pilot. Seriously i never seen that besides when i helped a guy who lost his outdrive under the tacony.
