We're thinking white. Vinyl seems to be the way to go for color and sponsors. We are currently in conversation with a few businesses for a sponsorship. Cross your fingers for us!

Should have updates and photos tomorrow!

Specialfx,
We would welcome you with open arms.If you register with OSS, Mercury Racing has a special program for race teams where you can purchase an engine package, which includes:525 engine with headers,HP gimbal and XR drive for around 34k. At the end of your eight race schedule,Mercury will present you with an eight thousand dollar check. So in reality you are buying the whole pachage for 26k which is the value of engine and headers alone. You are getting Gimbal and drive for free. It is the cheapest way to go racing for a long time. Our engine is a model 04 and we have only changed oil and filter. If there is anything the class can do to get you to Beloxi let us know. Welcome to SVL.

TYPHOON 03-09-2008 07:03 PM

FX, did you just buy that boat? Bring it on! This class is going to explode with all the new teams. This will be the next F1 class of the older days. Lots of boats on the edge and great people in the pits. Notice I said in the pits, I hate your a$$ on the course.

You guys are putting in some hours. I have worked on our boat almost everyday and there really wasn't anything wrong with it.
Looking forward to meeting ya

[QUOTE=vinny kostelac;2389990]1. I think two by two starts with the starting grid the reverse order of the national points standings, keeps points race tight and makes for some fun racing not make or break it at turn one.

Just wondering If there are 8 boats how many rows would there be? Where does that put the new guys? Do we get to go up front?

Starting to see some light, and just getting excited!!!

vinny kostelac 03-10-2008 09:18 AM

Yes, tenatively we will put new teams in front rows and all others will draw for positions at Biloxi, after that the national pts standing will form the grid ie leader in pts back row on the outside, last place in pts gets the pole position. Buckle up its going to be a bumpy year.

DriverofDonzi 03-10-2008 11:51 AM

Don't worry Randy. We all remember what it was like in Pickwick in 2005.

Has it been that long since you've held a flag? You must have the shakes by now.

TYPHOON 03-10-2008 09:15 PM

Come on Bruce, You need to try and get one of those flags in SVL. Let me tell you its hard with this competition. And Ron you are correct that was my last flag in SVL. I do expect you to be on the dock handing many this year!
