Personally, I don't feel it is fair to run a Cat with equal or higher HP against Vee Hulls. I believe that they should always run one Classe higher. That is why modern Super Stock boats should run C2 and 32'+ Skaters with big blocks and alike should run C1.

I also believe that any class other than 1-6 should have to have at least 2 boats to run or you move to 1-6.
I disagree, When we ran Stylin in Class 1, Relentless wasnt competitive in rough water with us, lightning jacks, JEM (now wicked). To Run bull on the beach in class 1 would be a death wish in my opinion. We built a few 32 Classics (Wits End, Stylin 1 (not the class 1 boat)), there not competitve against new style 32s, 36s or talons. Running 115 in a 32 Classic is on the edge in race conditions.

If 4, 3 and 2 were 80, 90 and 100 you wouldnt have that much of a problem

If class 3 was a 90mph class, that would not be a problem. If my boat did run 95mph then class 3 would be fine too. I dont need someone to tell me what class my boat should be in based on assumptions and not knowing

But you gotta remember in it's hey day the How Sweet it is 32 was the fastest 32 there was running speeds over 130MPH.... I know that was a long time ago, but running it in class 3 is a stretch.

I sitll dont understand changing class 5. Cotner, Akula, PFE...would get spanked by Randy, Outragous and the other class 5 boats. Even at 70.
