From reading the classifieds my 37'QUAD seems to have the smallest engine pkg, most have twin 1000's or better-- where mine are twin 675 Eickert pkg's with Whipple Intercoolers, the story of chine walking is also evident in my situation.

I believe there are about 8- 37' quads out there.

Bravos or 6's? What speed does your hull get out of shape?

Joe has number 6's 17.5 x33 4 blades. Motors actually make 830hp. Intercooled supercharged 540 with 871s.

Motors are staggered set up.

My one motor was just rebuilt at JC Performance along with Richie ZUL doing the dyno work. The motor hit 817 hpwith almost 800 pds of torque(broke earlier this summer)--- we also tuned the EFI box on the 2nd motor(not rebuilt) to match ,----earlier this year I purchased 2 -17.5x33 x4bl props from a guy down the Chesapeake that was running them on his Quad step with 1000/1100 hp motors that I believe was turning them at 6000/6200 rpm or so and was hitting around 115mph------since my new motor has only been in a week now with just a short run on it I havent really brought it up to top speed yet ---the boats best speed prior to this year with 17x33x4bl props with a rev limiter set low at 5400 did 103mph,-----with the slightly larger props and a new rev limit set for 5700 rpm along with a new tune up in the EFI's I will be wishful for 108 mph.

The gentleman that sold me the props did invite me to leave my boat at his dock for "Rock the Bay" but unfortunatly my wife and I are sick this week with the flu so we will probably just stay in Nj. Please thank him for the invite

In response to your question about the 42, I went for a ride in a 42 with 1075's and the boat was solid as a rock at 112 with 6 people. The boat probably had more in it we were running out of room. I have a lot of first hand experience with the boat you have, it was my Dads. I can attest to it being a handfull, but for us it seemed over 105. The boat did a stern to bow lope an then a pretty violent chine walk. He did drive it 112 on gps once, but it was all over the place. One of the fastest v-hulls I have been in to that speed though, which is hard to believe considering how big those 37's are.

He talked to Mike a bunch of times and he was willing to help him with the boat, but he would have to take it to RI. That may be your best solution.
