the thing with a 77, even a pristine one, if that were the case, is financing. It may not be an issue to you, but if/ when you sell it a good percentage of would be buyers will be shopping for a boat they can finance
While marine lenders will finance older boats with a good survey, they are usually doing it for $ 50k+ boats. I can't see them being eager to finace 20 k on a 30 yr old boat.
