If yes I might know a few...but they are accustomed to Top Fuel.

Glad to see your Project.

Mikey they have the same bolt pattern for the pullies. The answer to your question is yes.

Hi Mikey! :D

Sounds interesting, what sizes might that be then? If they're in Finland that would be great to avoid the shipping from the states.

The pistons are now mounted with about .003 bearing rod clearance.

Changed the oil in the blower and found that the sight glass needs to be replaced since it cracked in the threads when I started to put it back. Better now then when running!

Talked to the glass guy today and the Pantera will be ready tomorrow, also the fuel tank brackets will be welded to place tomorrow. We will put in the tank and hopefully get the floor there during the weekend.

Will also have to test mount the new oil pan on an empty block in the boat to see if we got enough clearance to the notch. Keep your fingers crossed!

Thanks MiamiBoys (wish I could use a similar nick...)!
Ok had to ask as I haven´t been around any smaller pumps than you mount on a TopFueler personally.

Tomas, yes they are in Finland, the nearest ones are right in Åbo, maybe all depends on storage...
Also If you need I have at disposal some Motori-Moderni class 1 engines....
Or Keith Eickert Class1 Lightnings, one totally unused for example.
I try to check them sizes but this weekend is booked as I must help a guy with a slight engine problem in his Ninja.

Sounds great Mikey! Please get back to me with the sizes!

What do you want for the KE Lightnings?

Lets see how many I can locate, the KE´s are never run => 0 hours or so I´m told.
I need two myself... and you need one... or , actually I´m quite protective of them staying here because of their heritage ;-)

I´ll get in contact with you this week..have to do a rebuild on few engines before midsummer too.
Seems there´s a lot of work around powerboats over here...

You don´t need any Motori Modernis, there´s a LOT of them :-)

Any news Mikey?

The heads are now assembled and the KE oil pan is test mounted in the Pantera. It cleared the notch :evilb: so no need to adjust the pan.

Got the Pantera back a few days ago and went to take a look yesterday - looks really god. This better hold together! Both stringers are strenghtened together with the V between the stringers. From the engine room bulkhead to 1-2 ft from the bulkhead in front of the cockpit.

The fuel tank brackets (welded on the fuel tank) are rewelded. Although we noticed that the weld on the front bracket is about the come loose as well, so it went back to the welder. :( It will be finished tomorrow!

We will put in the tank and the floor during this weekend.

I will post some pics of the progress later...

The testmount of the oil pan. About 1/2" clearance when the cast pan bolt plate is removed. About 1/4" for the moment. The block is a bit tilted to the starboard on the pics.

Sorry, but the bilge still needs a bit of cleaning before putting the engine back in...

The heads with the new valve job, new Manley valves and Isky 8205Plus springs. All that's left is to mount the Jesels.
