Is the boat at a shop? I heard Scott Mander from Intense Marine moved to Quincey,Fl. If he's around , he would be the one to look at it in that area. Good Luck!

It's been raced , bumped , jumped , and probably turned on its side several times so just look the hull over for cracks .
I use to jump in and just buy projects . Now I do the math first and show the seller the math figures .
$18,000 hull
$7500.00 even for a cheep motor
$5000.00 paint and body
$2000 upholstery
$3000 odds and ends you didn't even know you needed ...
$35000 in a 24 Pantera not the best but not the worst either !
No seller should ever mind you bringing a second set of eyes to look over a boat ..
Good luck , and keep us posted !
For a few more dollars you can get the 28 Black F1 boat. And its turn key, garage kept. With no issues.

Easier to buy a boat that has been well taken care of than to try and bring one back. Often less expensive too!
