I talked to Bill Taylor in Miami. They are still interested. Only Kenny Dean is pushing for it to be a High Roller event. I reccomended against that. I am to follow up with Bill Taylor, which I have not done. My reccomendation is that if they have an interest they do it in concert with the Carolina Powerboat folks since they have the connections and the track record on that lake.

That is definetly the way to go. I am pretty sure that there wont be a high roller event. My main concern was a group of folks coming down and ruining all the lobbying and glad handing that David and the CPBA did to make it successful for the powerboaters and the rest of the boaters.

I would love to see a poker run on Lake Norman but 10K??? I will be a spectator or a card stop.

I'd come down for a normal (whatever that is) poker run but 10K, not a chance unless I can get the Donald to sponsor me.
