Obviously we are beign weighted, they cannot figure how we are so fast. They can only assume we are cheating
Why is it that the numbers published show

King of Shaves at 660 hp each ???

I think I will leave that for Chris Witty to answer as it baffles all of us and if I get into it, it won't be nice!!
They actually wont give us a rational reason!!
Your guess is as good as mine !!!
Chris puts it : " Penalized for being professional."
They cant believe we are so fast without cheating!!
This may sound a bit strange, but its the truth!! You can imagine how pi@@ed I am !

I'm sure OL felt the same way when they had their weight added right before the race but that's just racing I guess.

I am baffled as to why you keep saying that the oraganization can't believe you are so fast without cheating....

From your own discription, King of Shaves , Outerlimits and Buzzi run side by side down the straights.

By reading that, I do not see that you are exceptionally faster than anyone that warrants your team to be slowed down.
Surely they had to give you some kind of a reason if it wasn't for having more HP than what was first declared ???

I also noted that you mentioned that you do not even come close to the speeds of the Miccosukee boat w/stock 525's over here in the States.

Their average was 87.6 mph on July 1st 2007 in Sarasota, Fl

Something just doesn't add up ???

You're not faster (in your words), but you have been told to add weight.

You only have dynoed @ 625 hp but published 660 HP after the dyno test which means you have to add weight.

Commentors overselling how fast you are but yet you ran with 2 other competitors side by side.

I look forward to seeing the TV footage.

It should clear up some of my questions....

True.

And here King of Shaves has been given notice 3 to 4 weeks before the next race which allows them time to test their boat with the added weight.
Outerlimits did not have that opportunity, and the added weight created some issues that could have been straightened out had they been given ample time to test the boat with the weight...

But they are doing the best the can at the moment and working these little bugs out.

Best of luck to them!

OL had declared at 620-625 , P1 told them that the HP Mercury declare is 662. OL of course said no etc...
P1 said to them..."You can keep the horsepower declared and stay at the same weight but at the end of the race we will pull the motors and put them on the Dyno. If you come over 620 and they are 662 we will strip you of your points in both Malta and Naples."
OL, of course, added the weight to go to 662 hp/ratio
As far as we go, It is bizaare, and i told you it seems weird and have been trying to accept it the last week.
When I say were to fast I mean around the race course. Watch the video on You tube, of germany.
Our lap speed are so high because we can turn this boat so hard.
I have to run...got a plane to catch for Cowes.

RumRunner, I tend to agree and that's why earier in this thread I suggested leaving sleeping dogs to lie and to let the association work everything out on their own.
