JROMY has the ITS which is 7". His boat rips...so I'm sure there's some benefit to a point.

Default Mercury ITS

The Merc ITS is nice to go with, if your beginning with a clean sheet of paper. It cleans up the transom, as the steering is intregal. As a retrofit, I would have to think twice & weigh the cost versus added performance. It is good for 3-5 mph on a standard 33 SD, but this depends on other rigging considerations, such as what drives used, X-demension, etc... Personally, I think the the best 33 PP SD I/O's, power/rigging wise, were the 97's & up, in standard pleasure form. They were all in the 80's for speed, with stock MerCruiser power. Just a great all around go-fast offshore boat. How fast do you maniacs need to go!? LOL

"The Love Muscle", as it was called(and painted), when delivered from the factory, is one boat I was never in. The winningest PP ever built, and one we never took advantage of, promotions/advertising wise, due to a dispute at delivery time(what's new). Such a shame. The guys really liked their "little" 33 PP, cause it was such a warhorse, long after they had moved on to their bigger race class involvement.

We carry the anodized blue as well as powder coated. The anodize is a much darker and less glossy blue (anodize is a plating process). We still sell lots of anodized parts.

The powder is a candy bright blue.

Here's a link.

I changed mine out a couple of weeks ago to the 3 3/8" powder coated ones from Eddie Marine. They look great, and fit a koozie now. I used a rough, curved file to enlarge the holes just enough for a tight fit on the new ones...no silicone needed.
